He is but it’s not his driving I worry about.
Since the bars don’t close till 1am, hopefully he will be at work before the party-ers go home.

Heshmat...A highly recommended thread by @Doranimated on today's developments involving #Iran-backed militia members/supporters attacking the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, Iraq.
Mike
The Marine guards look calm, but all that separates them from angry members of Kataib Hizballah, the organization the US attacked over the weekend, is a glass barrier and a small Christmas tree.
What is this anti-American protest in Baghdad about? This picture tells it all. Protesters, presumably from Kataib Hizballah, scrawl, "Qassem Soleimani is our leader" on the US embassy wall. Soleimani is the leader of Irans Qods Force. He built the Iraqi militias.
This gentleman monitoring the protest is Falih al-Fayyadh. Hes chairman of al-Hashd al-Shabi (the Popular Mobiliazation units) the official umbrella organization that knits together the pro-Iranian Shiite militias.
Heres a close up of the guard station that was torched.
Another view of the torched guard station from up close.

Odds are overwhelming that Iran organized this protest in Baghdad. Heres a suggestive tweet from 4 days ago. It says Qassem Soleimani got friend Tahseen al-Abboudi appointed as head of security in the Green Zone in order to squeeze foreign embassies.

This gentleman, leading the protests, is Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, founder and leader of Kataib Hizballah.
This gentleman, a participant in the anti-American protest in Baghdad, is eager to assert that Lebanese Hizballah is present. Displaying its banner, he says, Hizballah from the American embassy. Hizballah is here. Hizballah passed by here. |
All of Qassem Soleimani's best friends joined the party at the US embassy in Baghdad. The handsome turbaned gentleman is, I believe, Qais al-Khazali, the leader of Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq, a pro-Iranian militia.
From another angle-efforts to storm the embassy!
