Amazon is one step closer to implementing its creepy, futuristic flesh-and-blood payment system.
The e-tailing giants engineers on Thursday filed a patent application for a device that can scan a human hand without ever touching it as a way to ring up a store purchase.
As The Post exclusively reported in September, the device is being developed by Amazon engineers under the code name Orville for a future rollout at the Amazon-owned Whole Foods supermarket chain.
Employees at Amazons New York offices have been serving as guinea pigs for the biometric technology, using it at a handful of vending machines to buy such items as sodas, chips, granola bars and phone chargers, according to sources briefed on the plans.
Recode first reported the news of Amazons Thursday patent filing, which says the device will identify users by surface characteristics of the palm such as wrinkles, as well as deeper features like veins.

I have often thought the “Mark of the Beast” could be a corporation not a government. If Amazon, Google, etc. demanded you get a tattoo or chip in your hand or forehead before you could use their services... how many would?
Marks on objects (including skin) cannot be scanned?
Come on now.
It already happens billions of times per year. Every Amazon package you have delivered is scanned via marks on the package.
Every delivery of every kind is scanned via code implanted on packaging.
Code readers throughout the world (companies, facilities) scan you through a security badge.
My iPhone has apps that can scan marks on pages, or even other websites.
I could go on, and on.
The technology to put scannable marks on human skin already exists.
Amazonzos will give you complimentary cookies when you enter the store. And put tracking devices on your car, no doubt.
Just heard about that recently in a Bill Whittle video. It uses approx. 10k laser points on the face and works no matter what angle the face is, beard or no beard, far more precise than fingerprints.
In Europe music festivals have been trying to do away with paper tickets and even a need to carry a wallet or credit card. They want attendees to wear wristbands that are linked to their credit cards/payment systems so they can pay at kiosks quickly.
This August, Lollapalooza will become the first music festival in the country to implement paying for food and drinks with a chip-enabled wristband. The annual music festival is introducing Lolla Cashless, a new plan where attendees will no longer need to worry about carrying cash or heading to the ATM every time they want a drink. Instead, theyll pay for goods with the wristband they are already wearing.
The wristband has an RFID (radio frequency identification) chip where entrants can store credit card info for whatever account they want to pay with. Those who purchased passes are being sent the wristbands ahead of time, so they can enter in their info...

Festival Fintech: Are Tomorrowland’s Bracelets The Future Of Cashless Payments?
https://www.forbes.com/sites/madhvimavadiya/2018/06/24/festival-fintech-tomorrowland-cashless-payments/#259a2f2e1a3a
Festivals are not cashless. Most music festivals still require attendees to bring cash with them or be charged for taking money out from ATMs on the festival site to then be forced to exchange these funds for tokens, that are sold in bulk and cannot be refunded if not used. The fintech industry can and should be profiting from this gap in the market.
However, some festivals, like Tomorrowland in Boom, Belgium, which is held over two weekends every July, introduced cashless payment bracelets in 2013. These accessories were first used as a way for festival-goers to interact with others and a few years on, attendees were also able to use them to purchase food, drinks and more.
Tomorrowland works with Intellitix, the Global Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) specialist, to produce these bracelets and the innovation company announced its mission to transform the music festival industry with access to cashless payments back in 2016...
The mark of the Bezos.
2 Thessalonians 2:3 3Don't let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction.
I wont be taking any implants or chips, whatever it be.
How about a pacemaker?
Nope. Biometrics where it just recognizes you hand.
the device will identify users by surface characteristics of the palm such as wrinkles, as well as deeper features like veins.
lol.
Pacemaker ok.
Uh no!
Yeah i will stick with my shopper card, or cash, or both.
Or i just won’t be a customer there anymore if i don’t get a different choice.
it causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead, so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name
Good . Let’s use it for voting
I agree. I believe Scripture tells us that the Antichrist will not be revealed until after the Rapture of believers.
Just make it the left hand and we dont have to worry about going to hell. Im glad God specified right hand. He knew what he was doing.
Mark of the Beast ping
Then maybe you can explain how Scripture predicted this almost 2,000 years ago.
