CNN Pays 58 Airports $100,000 Each to Play Channel at Gates

Tucker Carlson Tonight reported CNN is spending millions of dollars to have their channel played at fifty-eight airports across the United States.

As Carlson explained, CNN is paying the airports approximately $100,000 each to “pump propaganda into America’s airports, holding its hapless travelers hostage.”

He commented: “It’s not something [the airports] would do willingly. Who would? Nobody watches [CNN] – it’s garbage.”

“This service is likely costing CNN six million dollars a year,” Carlson explained. “But they do it anyway because what’s the value of propaganda?”

Carlson was joined by author and commentator Mark Steyn to further discuss the topic.

“They pay over six millions dollars to bother people, to hector people in airports,” Steyn said. He suggested, “You know for six millions dollars they could actually afford to buy Murder She Wrote reruns…and they might actually have a sporting chance at some ratings.”

“I was at LAX yesterday while the anchors were talking about what a sad, somber, solemn, sorrowful day it is,” Steyn continued. “And people did look sad, somber, sorrowful, and solemn – but that was because they had been stuck at gate 59 watching Wolf Blitzer for four hours.”

Who is funding them?

Everyone who pays a cable or satellite bill. Meaning we all do unless you’re living off the grid

Wonder if there’s a list of airports that DON’T pimp for CNN?

All things being equal I think I’d choose to fly in and out of one of those.

I also believe they can write that off (taxwise) as an advertisement. Shut down that loophole and they can’t afford the millions spent on this.

Aren’t airports owned by the federal government? I don’t see how this could not easily be changed if this is the case.

THIS .

Article from the Authority that runs several airports in the Los Angeles area.

Short version it is a Government Agency, so taxpayers are footing the bill

Since most big airports are government owned, contracts are public, if one can figure out where to look.

Most airports are controlled by big cities, which are Democrat strongholds.

Therefore, it is a way for Democrats to push their propaganda on the public while claiming they are not biased.

“CNN>>>Its also where most if not all of Europe gets the news about America.”
``````````````````````
A lot of people don’t understand this. Most Europeans get their news from a CNN affiliate feed source. If you wonder why so many people in Europe loved Obama and can’t understand why we’d elect Trump over Hillary you have to understand the extreme bias of the news about the U.S. that they’re fed. Europeans have a very leftist influenced view of America. If you only source of “news” about China was from the communist government you’d have a different view of China too.
Europeans that travel to the U.S. tend to go to three places, New York, Los Angeles, and Disney World. That and their news is where they form their views of Americans. None of those places are “real” America. I’m in Europe a lot for work and U.S. politics is always a favorite topic at any bar. I try to present a favorable impression and encourage people to visit the U.S., rent a car, and spend a few weeks driving across America to see what it’s really like and what makes us tick. I impress upon them that you can’t see real America from New York, L.A., or Disney World. Contrary to popular belief most Europeans aren’t very widely traveled, it’s not uncommon to find someone from France that has never been to Germany even though that’s like an Arizonian that’s never been to California. Travel is expensive and the average European doesn’t have the disposable income that the average American has to spend on travel.
