The foundation of the Green Bay Packers NFL football team is under fire for making a donation to the Planned Parenthood abortion business as fans nationwide complain about its ties with a company that kills babies.
Now the team is doubling down on its donating and defending it by saying the gift is meant to support the few things Planned Parenthood does that dont involve ending the lives of babies before birth.
As LifeNews.com reported, on Wednesday December 4, 2019 the Green Bay Packers Foundation (GBPF) released their annual grant fund recipients. Among the 192 grantees was #112, Planned Parenthood Of Wisconsin Inc, Milwaukee.
The Green Bay Packers Foundation was founded in 1986 by Judge Robert J. Parins with a mission to support charities possessing one or more of the following goals: perpetuates a community environment that promotes families and the competitive value of athletics; contributes to player and fan welfare; ensures the safety and education of children; and/or prevents cruelty to animals. A donation to Americas biggest abortion business is the opposite of promoting families since it involves killing children.
A representative of the Packers defended the Planned Parenthood donation saying its morally acceptable because the donation is not meant to kill future Packers fans or players in abortions.
Heres more:
The Packers Foundation said Wednesday the Planned Parenthood grant was for a specific program and not a blanket donation. That program, Cuidándonos Creceremos más Sanos (CCmáS), which means growing healthier together, is dedicated to reaching Latino families in southeastern Wisconsin, an underserved population, with language- and culturally-specific health education they would not normally receive.
This is an innovative Spanish-language education program that empowers people to take charge of their health, said Tanya Atkinson, president and CEO of Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin. The Medical College of Wisconsin is predicting cancer rates among Hispanic women will double in the next 10 years. Programs like CCmáS serve as a critical connector between patients and the health care they need.
The Packers and the foundation certainly understand there are individuals who disagree with some aspect of one or more of the 2,800 organizations that have been supported since 1986, said Aaron Popkey, Packers director of public affairs. The organization respects those views. Grant applications are considered specific to their initiatives and do not necessarily imply endorsement of other actions by the organizations.
However, no distinction can be made and the donation is akin to making a financial gift to the KKK but saying the gift is not meant to support racism. Planned Parenthood kills babies in abortions and nothing else it does could ever offset that fact.
The irony of the donation is that its meant to help reduce cancer but abortion has been proven by scientific studies to be linked to breast cancer, increasing the rates at which women contract it. As Americas biggest abortion company, Planned Parenthood is responsible for increasing breast cancer rates.
Meanwhile, Planned Parenthood doesnt truly have anti-breast cancer programs and the abortion business does little more than self-check breast exams that women can do on their own or with a legitimate health care provider. And Planned Parenthood was found to have misled Americans about having mammogram machines.
In 2012, they issued a press release that read, Planned Parenthood helps women nationwide get access to mammograms, as part of the range of health care Planned Parenthood health centers provide to nearly three million people a year.
But former Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards admitted to Congress that it has no mammogram machines at any of its abortion clinics or other locations, and refers out for mammograms. But Richards also lied about her previous statement saying mammograms are done at Planned Parenthood.
We do not have mammogram machines at our health centers and weve never stated that we did, Richards said.
To the best of my knowledge not any Planned Parenthood facilities have mammogram machines, Richards added later.
Still later in the hearing, Richards said, No Planned Parenthood clinics have mammogram machines.
Finally, Planned Parenthoods own annual report indicates it is killing more babies in abortions while helping fewer women with genuine health care services, making the Packers donations less helpful.
Its 2018 annual report, released this week, shows it aborted 332,757 unborn babies and reaped in a record $1.66 billion in revenue. Meanwhile, Planned Parenthood provided less contraception, sterilizations, cancer screenings, adoption referrals and other womens health services than the previous year.
Planned Parenthood aborted more unborn babies in 2018 than it did in the past five years. According to its report, it performed a total of 332,757 abortions 11,373 more than the previous year. According to Students for Lifes analysis, abortions increased more than 3 percent while adoption referrals dropped by more than 25 percent. Planned Parenthood did one adoption referral for every 117 abortions.
Planned Parenthoods provision of contraception decreased by 80,000, cancer screenings by 45,000, and other womens health services such as well-woman exams and prenatal services decreased by 13,000.
Pro-Life Wisconsin, which alerted LifeNews.com to the Planned Parenthood donation, said the gift to the abortion business makes no sense.
If the foundation truly wanted to promote families and ensure the safety of children, they would not be financially investing in an organization that violently destroys childrens lives each and every day, PLW said. Any perceived benefit Planned Parenthood provides to society is wiped out every time they kill a baby, which in their case is 4,639 times a year in Wisconsin alone. In just one day, they wipe out the approximate equivalent of an entire football team.
The pro-life advocacy group is asking Packers fans to speak up and make their voice heard in opposition to the donation and to call on the Packers to cease any further donations to the Planned Parenthood abortion chain.
PLW asks that pro-lifers across Wisconsin call out the Green Bay Packers Foundation for their egregious support of Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin Inc, Milwaukee, it added.

“So what does pp do other than kill unborn humans?”
Pelvic exams, contraception, sell baby parts, pay big salaries to the honchos, and lobby politicians are a few other expenses.
You are exactly correct. All money is fungible. No one would ever say that donating to the Nazi's bandage-making group (if there was such a thing) was was ok. Donating to a group that does evil allows them to spend their other money on more evil.
That’s like saying you supported Nazis because you liked Volkswagens.
What about sonogram or ultrasound machines?
The National Felons League continues to double down on stupid.
the sad irony is that if you read thePackers Foundation donations list, there is a crisis pregnancy center on it too.
“then what?”
Now what?
The more money donated to PP for non-abortion services means that much more money is freed up for abortion services.
Right, fund with the intention of it going to one part, it goes of course to everything. Idiots
Well, I figured there were still some companies and organizations that weren’t left-leaning in their charity work, but that list is dwindling each day.
DITTO
Money is fungible
Of course those lumbering, 2 brain celled horny idiots are going to support planned parenthood. They want sex without commitment.
“...for every dollar donated to specific programs within Planned Parenthood, doesnt that then free up a dollar in their budget, to spend on other things, including abortion?”
Exactly.
Years ago, Supreme Court decided cases using the same logic about using taxpayer $$$ to fund religious school’s education (textbooks, non-religious materials) - same logic was used...giving education $$$ was a contribution to the church because it freed up church contributions to be used for religious purposes that they otherwise would have spent on education. In other words, there is no real way to separate the education mission (funds) from the religious (funds). The political left and athiest mobs were overjoyed. From a 1st Amendment perspective, the Court was right in my opinion. TO be truly free in religious practice/beliefs, take no federal $$$$$.
Despite that logic, the left only uses it when it advances their cause and dispenses it when it doesn’t. Ends justifies the means. The federal government funds pp saying that those funds are for non-abortion activities. The abortion services (funds) cannot be separated from the non-abortion services (funds). It’s all the same. Green Bay Packers fool no one, they are funding abortions. Not sure what that has to do with the NFL - they really thought such contributions were to be seen as an act of philanthropy? No they didn’t. There are well-placed pp people in their organization who are helping pp carry out its mission.
“There are plenty of organizations out there... womens centers.....that help women and do not provide abortions. How about donating to them instead? Wont happen.”
Exactly. There are thousands of organizations that help women without slaughtering innocent babies.
You mean Pre-Planned Extermination Centers? Green Bay Pack of anti-life collectivists ALERT!
As much as I would like for you to be correct, I don’t think this will be happening any time soon.
Bad enough they run around in pink crap for part of the year.
Bring on Sarcastaball.
“When every organization has capitulated to the left, then what?”
Good thought. Then it’s time to use those collectives to stifle, imprison, kill opposing thought/thinkers.
