Biden, who often touts himself as a union man on the campaign trail, made the promise while speaking at a rally organized by the progressive organization Fight for 15 in Los Angeles, California. During his remarks, which came only hours before the Democrat presidential primary debate, the former vice president channeled his more progressive rivals when stating that fight for $15-an-hour was about more than economics.
Its not just the numbers, and by the way theres been a war on fast food workers for a long, long time, the former vice president said, before lambasting companies like Chuck E. Cheese that require their workers to sign non-compete agreements.
Its all about depressing the wages for working people, Biden said. Folks, look were in a situation now where we find ourselves in a position, where you are the victims of power, a significant amount of power.

There is only one way you can fight back power, he said. That is with more power, and thats union power

McDonalds is a place where any budding entrepreneur can rent (by profit sharing) hamburger making/serving/advertising/etc equipment & logistics, giving only minimal evidence they are competent with said equipment, and will agree on scheduling time thereon.
Sounds like Joe wants to get his crackhead son Hunter a job working the fryer at Mickey D’s...but I don’t think it pays 50 grand a month even with a union trying to ratchet up fast food workers wages to that level. Besides Hunter is too busy with his hookers to work anything other than a no show job.

I think he meant to say...We should destroy a company within a week.
Cmon, Gramps, tell us another Cornpop story.
Of course hes too stupid to realize they are franchises and have thousands of separate owners and not one big company that can be easily unionized.
If Biden could actually hold down a mcD job then hed be perfectly free to try to unionize it. Otherwise hes just talking out of his hat again

A good, large, Catholic family I know has a sixteen year old who took a job at McDonald’s. He is conscientious, and is not particularly interested in STEM, academia or the professions. A regional manager took note of his work habits, attitude, values and home-school formed diction and behaviour, took him aside, and told him McDonald’s wants to fast-track him into management when he is old enough, and that they will subsidize his education in the meantime.
It doesn’t have to stay at minimum wage if you have skills and work-ethic.
Chuck E. Cheese makes employees sign a non-compete agreement? Could this be true?
we should unionize McDonalds.
