JERSEY VILLAGE, Texas — One person has been charged in connection with the disappearance of Austin mother Heidi Broussard and her newborn after a body believed to be the woman's was found Thursday at a home near Houston, according to police and her family.
A healthy baby was also found at the Houston-area residence, Austin police said Friday. The infant is in the care of Child Protective Services, and DNA testing was underway to confirm the baby was Broussard's 3-week-old, Margot.
The missing woman's mother, Tammy Broussard, said early Friday that police told her the body found in Jersey Village in Harris County is likely that of her daughter, who has been missing since Dec. 12. Tammy Broussard said the body was found in a car trunk.

So, from what I’ve read her body was found in a trunk. The poor woman, and what I guess is the husband or boyfriend is a suspect?

That does not appear to be the case. The boyfriend/baby daddy seems upstanding.
the article says she was found at a home of a close friend which is where the baby was too.

According to APD, a person has been taken into custody. That person has the same charges as the woman identified in the Harris County records.
While KPRC 2 has information about the woman’s identity, that information has not been reported because law enforcement sources have yet to independently confirm her name.

A “close friend” of the victim is the suspect. She apparently faked a pregnancy and plotted to kill the mother and steal the baby.
We’ve seen this monstrous crime before, many times.
It would appear that the friend, who may not have been too close for quite some time, was faking a pregnancy.
And once Broussard’s baby was born and three weeks old, Broussard and her baby were kidnapped by the old friend.

I’m thinking there were no longer close and separated by miles and the killer read that Heidi was pregnant and then hatched the plan to fake a pregnancy, kidnap Heidi, kill her and then keep the baby.
Interestingly, Heidi lived in a low rent apartment in Austin and the killer had a large house in a wealthy Houston suburb.
That’s the story.
It gets worse.
Heidi lived in a dumpy apartment in Austin and worked at Cracker Barrel and the killer is a wedding planner living in a large house in a wealthy Houston suburb.
That’s the defense. Heidi was poor and could not care for the baby, I am wealthy and could care for the baby.
