NBC News also reported that Heidi Broussard’s “close friend” lives at the home. According to neighbors, a man has lived at the home for several years and his presumed girlfriend moved in about a year ago. A records search on the vehicle’s license plate showed that the car belonged to a person who has the same name as the person who neighbors identified as the girlfriend. Harris County records showed that a woman by that same name is being held in jail on charges of kidnapping and tampering with a corpse.

According to APD, a person has been taken into custody. That person has the same charges as the woman identified in the Harris County records.

While KPRC 2 has information about the woman’s identity, that information has not been reported because law enforcement sources have yet to independently confirm her name.
