In a late Wednesday night, post-impeachment tweet completely devoid of all self-awareness, Washington Post congressional reporter Rachael Bade flaunted how she and four other journalists from the paper were celebrating President Trumps impeachment.
Merry Impeachmas from the WaPo team! [Paul Kane] is buying ... w/[Karoun Demirjian] [Seung Min Kim] [Mike DeBonis], she gleefully shared in the now-deleted tweet, along with a picture of them around a restaurant table with food and at least two beers.
Interestingly, three of the five newspaper writers involved with the apparent celebration (Bade, Demirjian, and Kim) are also CNN political analysts.
Rightly, the supposedly objective journalists were immediately called out and derided on social media.
What the hell were you thinking when you tweeted this? Some of us still care about ethics and unbiased reporting, and this garbage makes it harder for all of us by reinforcing a stereotype. Come on guys, blasted Fox 11 Los Angeles reporter Bill Melugin.
Stephen Miller (@redsteeze) went on a tear. Do these people have any self-awareness? Any at all, he tweeted. Cool, you had a long night at work. I get it. It was a very somber day for you. But maybe dont smile hashtag your tweet with the resistances slogan du jour if you dont want to prove Trumps point about your paper.
Washington Post reporter and CNN political analyst Rachel Bade celebrates Impeachmas, which isnt a horrible look for both news organizations or anything... The Hill media reporter Joe Concha sarcastically quipped.
Our friend Derek Hunter from the Daily Caller added, All these people are reporters. Nice work, @washingtonpost.
In response to the avalanche of ridicule, Bade announced she would delete the tweet because people were somehow misinterpreting it (text below):
Im deleting a tweeting tonight that is being misinterpreted by some as an endorsement of some kind. To be absolutely clear, we at the Post are merely glad we are getting a break for the holidays after a long 3 months. I will retweet the group photo w/ a better caption!
Unfortunately for this crew, the internet is forever. Now the world will know how she and other journalists from the Democracy Dies in Darkness outfit celebrated the impeachment of a president.
Thinking? They were thinking they won and showing their true colors.
Nothing better to do. That’s ok for them.
You dont say?!!
She lies.
These people think like 13 year-olds
Its pretty difficult to misinterpret!
Every time the progs have a party after some perceived "victory" over PDJT they seem to get smacked down by something in just a couple of days.
Waiting...
.
Karoun [Armenian] ...Demirjian [unknown but possibly Iranian] ... her family is Christian and she was born in the USA but served as a correspondant in “Palestine.” Takes a strong interest in and reports on Iran news.
Seung Min Kim ... Korean...
pusillanimous pukes
Just throw in a Cuban and we’d have the axis of evil media company...
Grrrrrrrrr. This makes me madder than all get out.
I hope every single one of them, who thinks this is all great blood sport which is good for ratings, is given a pink slip on 12/24.
Not that Christmas means a thing to Delta Bravos like them.
Merry Trumpmas to them!
As long as Bezos owns this rag, his Amazon is in danger of eventual countrywide boycott. I don’t understand how someone who has been so successful because of a country’s policy concerning freedom to create a successful enterprise would back a political party whose objective is to seize control of that very business.
Ethics and unbiased? Sorry, Bill, but that ship sailed a looong time ago.
They have no morals no ethics.
No one in any media or anywhere celebrated the Clinton Impeachment, but these punks will celebrate the Trump impeachment.
3 millennial chicks and two soy dudes.
They are basically 13 years old in mentality.
That is why a tweet like this was sent. The stupid chick sent it out on pure impulse and thought that there was a big lefty internet party going on and they wanted to join in as part of the “team”.
