The Senate is where confirmation happens, what does the House have to do with that?

MHO most of 'em are afraid to get anywhere near an actual member of the voting public.

We've got our very own JonBoy Tester as a fair example of that deal: Only time he's seen in Montana is with a herd of media to take pictures of him on his "farm" and/or huddled with his lib donors and their lawyers in some remote hideaway.

I think if one is in session congress is considered in session.

Both houses have to agree to adjourn-The Senate can not adjourn without agreement from the house. If the Senate does not adjourn, then no recess appointments.

And then there’s the Trump card...
