Has anyone figured out the connection between”White Squall”, a movie about a true story, ship of schoolboys sinking in Caribbean in 1961; and the Cuban missile crisis of 1962?

The obvious tie is the saying “Where we go one we go all” as it is a central theme of the movie and, I believe, was also engraved on the bell of JFK’s boat.

I goofed on Google for 'Squal' and came up with nothing. I thought there might be a name staring with 'Qual' or something. This is all I came up with, and since it's good, good reggae music, I posted it.
