[By the looks of it, San Francisco has already been nuked.]
With Nancy Pelosi representing it, it appears zombies are caked in Botox.

I live in California and honestly I wouldn’t even care. Heck I think a nuclear attack on this state might actually get rid of the poop on the sidewalk

Back in the day, early 60s
Oak Ridge, Tn was the #2 target for nuclear attack
If you saw the big blue flash you didnt worry about it.
It would all be over in seconds

By the looks of it, San Francisco has already been nuked. Nuking San Francisco would be akin to performing a HAZMAT cleanup.

These cities are the greatest detriment to rural America as their voting population if greater than the population of rural America. Anti electoral College ideals want to put them in control of America.

With the size and power of modern nuclear bombs, running into some basement fallout shelter isn’t going to do you a damned bit of good.

Many good people live in those cities. So you are offering good advice there. Unfortunately, you will probably be ignored.

[How does one sufficiently prepare for a nuclear attack? Hide in a refrigerator?]
It worked for Harrison Ford, as I recall. Just make sure it isn’t one with a locking handle.

Yes, although urban areas are heavily liberal, there are some decent people in each.

Can one prepare? Not really. The only preparation that matters is preventing it from happening in the first place. Should one go off, all bets are off depending on various factors: airburst/surface, type of material, winds, etc.
I've had some pretty interesting conversations with people in the nuclear field, including many from one of the homes of the Manhattan Project; Oak Ridge, TN. With many of the players in the radiation/nuclear field locally, there is lots of information and perspectives, but the consensus is generally that prevention is best hope.
If anyone wants to see what the effect of a detonation on their area, here's a reference site: NukeMap

If I were nuking a city, Boston would be first on the list. Hey! I live just outside of Boston!!
And I applaud your choice. The US would be better off without the Boston/Cambridge Liberals.
