The doctors told him later he was mumbling on the gurney, and Savage says he remembers praying this Bible passage:
“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD.” Deuteronomy 6:4
...and I (Fishtank) think Savage mentioned this passage:
“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.” Psalm 23:4
He said he was repeating them over and over again....
I’ve always enjoyed him, even though he’s sometimes a little too self-congratulatory.
I appreciate that he recited the Shema in his time of need. I always go for ‘The Lord is my Shepherd’, so I guess we’re on the same page.
