It took 25 years, but Mariah Carey is finally the undisputed queen of Christmas and the charts.
On Tuesday, her 1994 hit All I Want for Christmas Is You hit No. 1 on Billboards Hot 100 chart for the first time. It marks a songs longest-ever trip to the top of the vaunted singles chart.
For Carey, 49, it marks the height of a banner month. On Sunday, Carey concluded her sixth annual All I Want for Christmas Is You tour at Madison Square Garden with a 90-minute set to a sold-out crowd. Then, on Monday, she appeared on comedian Billy Eichners show, Billy on the Street, admitting in a hilarious skit that she wrote the catchy jingle in maybe an hour and a half.

I like it too and I am not a big fans of hers either.
The only problem is if I wind up in Hell, no doubt they will just be playing it in an endless loop.
I miss Karen Carpenter especially when I hear her Christmas songs.
As big an incentive to be good as any. :)
Hell’s playlist has to have some Yoko Ono of course so not just Mariah.
