Reindeer pawing the ground. Elves racing around to find where that last dolly got to, in case they need to comb its hair. Santa checking the scale to be sure he’s lost enough weight to make up for what he’s going to gain on milk and cookies. Mrs Claus collapsing and waiting for them all to just GET ON WITH IT! so she can finally get some sleep in a quiet house.
