I thought it was the British who had the Czech resistance wack Heydrich, in order to protect Canaris.
Canaris and Bonhoeffer were hanged on the same day.
Canaris had his own Underground Railroad smuggling out Jews. They were given phony Abwehr identities and legends so they could get to Spain or Britain. There has been an unsuccessful attempt to have his name listed at the Garden of the Righteous Gentiles at Yod Vashem.

I read that the Soviets leveled the cemetery while invading Berlin. Heydrich’s grave was known to be in a certain section, but it as I understand, once the market was gone, and with no clear records, no one is quite sure of the exact location.
Maybe someone is sure after all.
There can never be too many novels, plays, films or television shows about the horrors of Adolf Hitler’s Third Reich and the Holocaust theyinitiated and carried out.
The killing of Heydrich, was one of History’s unquestionably most evil men, and was the only planned assassination by the allies in all of World War II,.... Czechoslovakia was not an official ally but a nation occupied by the Nazis, Heydrich had terrible plans for Czechs.
That being said, the Nazi treatment of the Czechs, was relatively benign compared to how they treated the Poles.
If you remember the miniseries “Holocaust”, Kaltenbrunner, Heydrich’s replacement, indicated that on his deathbed, Heydrich was crying and begging for forgiveness for what he had done.
I have no idea if this really was true, but I distinctly remember that scene. Of course there were also rumors that Heydrich had Jewish blood.
Too bad, it took the Nuremberg Trial to get Seyss-Inquart, after what he had done in The Netherlands.

Apart from Hitler no one typified the evil of Nazism more so than Heydrich.

I’ve watched so many and researched so much in all of this that I can’t recall which one is which! ...but there are plenty of rumors surrounding Heyrich’s death at the hospital they took him too just as there is Hitlers death.
Either or they’re both dead.
The marker is for his former grave in Berlin (the body moved a few times) and states that in 1975 the remains were moved to a cemetery in Wiesbaden. He lies in a family plot there.
First burial: Bertangles, France, near where he was shot down
Second: Fricourt, France, in a cemetery for German soldiers killed during WW1
Third: Berlin, in 1922. The cemetery there ended up being on the boundary with the Soviet Zone, and the stone damaged by gunfire directed at persons attempting to escape to the west. Pictured marker located there.
Fourth and last: Wiesbaden, 1975.
