We’re not gonna take this crap, trust me. NV may be a demrat-run state, but our municipal government is top-notch. For example, Mayor Goodman is holding the line on encampments and literally keeping the streets clean. Will it work? Don’t know, but it’s better than doing nothing and becoming like the Bay Area, whose conventions are moving here, along with its people. We will be a rowdy but law-abiding fan base.
I grew up in the Bay Area and my family were season ticket holders in the mid 70s. I don’t remember any of this nonsense going on when I was at the games, but maybe I just wasn’t paying attention.
The biggest and wildest bad beat on Sunday was the Falcons 49ers game
This is news?
ahh....the famous Sam Wyche speech to the crowd in Cincinnati when things were getting ugly.
“Where do you people think you are? Cleveland?”
Losing to the Jags? Honestly, I don’t blame them for rioting.
The fans aren’t moving to Vegas. The Raiders will now draw lots of fans of their opponents, who will come to town and treat it like a home game for the visitors. For them, it will probably be like playing 16 road games every year.:)
What are you guys gonna do if you ever break .500 again, level the place girder by girder?
“I grew up in the Bay Area and my family were season ticket holders in the mid 70s.”
Snake Stabler, Darryl Lamonica, Fred Belintnikoff, George Blanda, Ted Hendricks, Jack Tatum, Gene Upshaw....Those were the days!
The Eagles covering the spread vs. the Redskins was the same. Meaningless, non-offensive TD scored with no time left.
Raiders fans; if the team were to return to Oakland some time in the future, they’ll welcome it with open arms, just as they did post LA. Some people just can’t get enough abuse.
“Where is plastic when you really need it?”
This is “WOKE” California dude. Plastic is evil.
Lol. Nah. Were well behaved during the rare instances of success. Those pics were of the final game in 95 before the team moved to Baltimore. I was at that one.
Cops were as pissed at the team as the fans, so it was pretty much mob rule. All of the advertising had been removed from the stadium which made it look abandoned even when there was a game.
I remember hearing fireworks in the stands and seeing smoke. The seats looked from a distance like there were massive scars from where they were torn out and either taken home as souvenirs or thrown onto the field.
It was a surreal experience.
Im guessing there were very similar feelings in Oakland.
Given what Baltimore gained and what Cleveland got in return, I’d be pretty pissed as a Browns fan, too. Of course, given what we Washington fans have gotten since Snyder bought the team, we’d be more than happy to help them pack and move to Saskatoon.
Fixed it
Keep it classy Raiders fans.
Yes they were! I had a major crush on Stabler, like every other teenage girl in the Bay Area.
