Christmas time. Doesn’t surprise me. It was a great movie.

I’ll see it like I see every movie for the last decade . On my 60” tv.
I might consider seeing a high tech special effects movie in the theatre. But nothing I see out There qualifies.

As soon as I saw it I figured “Yep. Destroy the messenger.” I wonder what the real figures are and if they matter?
We loved it. We did attend the very first showing on the first day of the movie, and theater was almost empty. But it was the middle of a work day. I expect attendance will pick up this week. I figure this article is meant to encourage people to stay away.

Face it, 99% of America really has no interest in this type of movie.
Weekend? Are Sunday ticket sales not considered part of Hollywood’s “weekend?”
Most people only go to the movies when they’re taking their kid to some kiddie movie, that’s how I roll. Hopefully the movie will pick up in video sales, that’s a lot more of a trend these days. I’d rather rent a movie off Amazon Prime for $6 and buy treats for another $10 than spend $50 to sit with a bunch of people, eat the $8 popcorn, and hope people behave.
I’ll wait till it comes out on DVD or somewhere else. I hate going to the movies and paying an arm and a leg for admission and snacks. I haven’t been to movie in at least a decade.
The movie studio did not buy enough TV commercials for the film.
Great acting and direction. Everyone needs to go see it or movies like this will no longer be produced.
Two of the theater chains were in less than “exciting” areas (one in very hispanic shopping area - Home Depot runs “blue light specials in Spanish!) other in area Travon Martin might like to hang out!
Really want to see this film, but we’ve just been too busy. Maybe after Christmas...
Remember, this is a movie about an over weight white guy that was wrongly accused. I doubt anyone under 30 remembers the case. There’s no sex, violence, or comedy. Its a good movie but will not attract a broad audience, it will also not get positive media attention for obvious reasons.
Eastwood made this movie and it's out there now. It will be seen. Maybe not by everyone all at once or even a fraction of that. But it's been released in the wild and people will be watching it sooner or later. And it will stoke them to thought. And they will be talking about it.
It will make them consider and reconsider the role that the media and the government have in our lives.
The box office pull is almost inconsequential. I have a friend who worked on Unplanned. It was never going to be a blockbuster like Avengers: Endgame. No doubt in my mind which has already made the most real difference in the world.
I want to see it, but it’s such a pita to get to a decent theatre and expensive too. I buy all these services on tv, so I always wait till one of them pick it up in the end. For Eastwood I might make an exception, but we’ll see. It should be shown in all the schools. Instead they feed them Al Gore crap.
