Where did the Trump impeachment go?
When House Democrats began selling tickets to their President Donald Trump Impeachment Theater — shouting their outrage, preening on those late-night talk shows — it was much meatier business.
It would be full of collusion with Russia, blackmail of Ukraine, it would contain extortion and go heavy on bribery.
The way the Democrats sold it, Americans were to expect some giant roast, bone in, with a rich, thick gravy, to feed a nation longing for justice from Orange Man Bad.
At least, that’s what Democrats promised. But that’s not what they delivered for consideration for a vote by the full House, was it?
What they offered weren’t High Crimes and Misdemeanors. They didn’t serve up alleged crimes. Instead, they offered only attitude and rhetoric, without meat and bone.
They promised everything and yet ended up providing nothing, like air sandwiches offered to feed that angry mob they’ve stoked since the day Trump infuriated them by not losing the election to Hillary Clinton.
“I feel … thin. Sort of stretched, like … butter scraped over too much bread,”said the plucky little Hobbit, Bilbo Baggins, in “Lord of the Rings.”

A FRIVOLOUS impeachment vote is a SEDITIOUS CONSPIRACY.
Our President should prove the Seditious Conspiracy as part of his defense.

Or, to reprise an old saying “where’s the beef”?
There’s none here. Democrats have overpromised and underdelivered.
What we have here aren’t crimes. What we have here are Democrats accusing the President of not agreeing with them.
That’s not an impeachable offense and it isn’t a justification to hang a man.
This is a partisan vendetta dressed up as impeachment.
Articles of Impeachment:
1. Orange Man bad.
2. Orange Man hurt our feelings.
Exhibit A: Nanzi Pelozi - “We have been working on impeachment for two and a half years.”
It’s the tofu impeachment.
Beware the continuation.
The committee voted for impeachment because it could not fail to.
The House will vote for impeachment because party lines will win the absolute partisan vote.
The Senate will be obligated to take up the trial, and will give benefit of the doubt per established respect.
Only then may the farce cease, but after further opportunistic damage.
I don’t see a prior exit strategy.
Maybe Trump does, and I trust he will handle it well.
Maybe Pelosi et al are arranging a suitable crisis to cover their flight from the issue.
But as is now I see no way for this to end.
Here is my take. “Team Mitch” is a Deeper just like the rest of DC. He doesn’t want to allow the President to be vindicated and this whole “impeachment” thinggy be delegitimized, he just wants it gone...for now...he is as dirty and gross as the rest of them... if The President was able to mount a defense to this muck, he would blow them all to Kingdom Come.

This “impeachment” is more like taking a shit on a piece of bread and telling everyone it is butter.

More precisely, like rancid butter scraped over too much moldy bread...
I predict that impeachment is going to fail by one vote. The demarcates do not want this to go to the senate where they loose control of the preceding. there will be at least one republican that sides with the demarcates possibly a few more. this will allow them to claim the vote was not partison. The demarcates will then keep everything alive within the media. there is going to be no trial in the senate because any open trial will be to damaging to the democratic party.
The demarcates? More like defecates.
Assuming the DemoRATS send this to the Senate, Trump has every right to send US Marshals into the House Chamber and start arresting traitors.
That House should be shut down until we get things cleaned up. Until then, the Senate could pass bills for the president’s signature. That way, the people’s business continues.
