Cumberland mall is not the greatest place anyway and worse at Christmas. one of my girlfriends had a guy try to grab her purse there one year. She pulled back so hard that he stumbled forward and she brought her knee up under his chin. A security guard just happened to be a few yards away. The perp was laying on the floor bleeding. They had to call the EMTs to come treat him before hauling him off to jail.

And no one shot back.

I understand your point....But given the fact there were shoppers running all over the place, it wouldn't have been a very safe thing to do.
