Florida boy allegedly pummeled on school bus for wearing Trump 2020 hat

A 14-year-old Florida boy was allegedly pummeled by several students on a school bus for wearing a Trump 2020 hat to school, disturbing video shows.

The boy’s mother on Thursday released a 21-second video of the Nov. 21 attack in Hamilton County, where two girls and three boys are seen relentlessly punching him as other students look on and scream in the background.

The boy, identified as Tyler, was assaulted for previously wearing to school a Trump 2020 hat that he bought “with his own money” at a flea market several weeks earlier, his mother said.

“He was proud to wear it,” she tweeted. “He wore it to school, but due to immediate bullying he put it away & didn’t wear it to school again, sadly the damage was already done & was now a target.”

The teen was then “steadily” bullied on the bus, getting “tripped” and verbally abused before the situation culminated in the beatdown that required a trip to the hospital, his mother claimed.

Anyone who believes blacks will vote in relatively large numbers for Trump is living in an alternate reality.

In my grandfather’s time, the boys would be given gloves and put into a ring to fight it out. My grandfather and his brothers grew up in a rough area.

Funny thing about human nature — often times the bully and victim become good friends after a fight.

Our son never had a problem because we got him into martial arts at a young age. It is more of a self confidence thing than random bullying. The bullies look for the weak to bully. Also, if in a group, go for the leader first and punch him in the nose (my grandfather’s advice).

The good news is that the victim will grow up to be a solid conservative and and several of the bullies will end up dead or in the pokie by the age of 18.

And the next time they start pushing you around and physically abusing you for wearing a Trump hat, make them regret it.

Unfortunately defending yourself against attacking liberals gets prosecuted as a crime. You can read about all the examples where someone standing up to Antifa thugs gets arrested and prosecuted vigorously. Like the guys in New York who ended up fighting with masked Antifa. The Antifa fighters wouldn't even take their masks off when the police talked to them. The police arrested the people the Antifa thugs attacked. And now they are facing lengthy prison sentences for crimes normally not charged.

Agree with working out, but the kid is probably a freshman and they said the other students were older. A 1-3 years age difference is huge at that age and it was 4 against 1.

>>> There is a word that fits these savages and it is not “Amish.” <<<

The word you’re looking for is “targets”.

When I was in high school I was constantly getting harassed and groped by black boys and the faculty did exactly NOTHING about it aside from insinuating I was a racist because I would not f*ck the black boys.

So one fine day in my senior year I stabbed one of them.

That ended the problem and no one bothered me about it.

Actually, the attack occurred a week before Thanksgiving on 21 November. News of the attack is just hitting the MSM now.

Unfortunately, this is how hyperbolic, inflamed, partisan political rhetoric at the national level plays out at the local level, especially in low information communities. There is a direct line from words of vilification being uttered by prominent national personages (not all of them politicians) to Antifa to the opportunistic beating up of people who wear Trump hats.

The lack of condemnation; nay, the approval and after-the-fact justification of such attacks gives tacit approval for further attacks. Fortunately, but belatedly, defamation lawsuits against such careless incitement are beginning to curb some of these excesses. Time will tell if ethics complaints and other measures can curb runaway mouths/behavior in Congress.

Hamilton County is just south of the Georgia border. It is a small county with just over 14,000 residents and is 60% white demographically. Voted Republican in the last five Presidential elections. Incomes are pretty low. Here is a link to the Wikipedia article on the county:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hamilton_County,_Florida?wprov=sfti1

Schools consist of one elementary school and one high school. Got a feeling the boy and his attackers have seen/known each other for some time (like the beginning of their first year(s) of school).

This is the problem. There are medical bills to be paid and there are students that need to be punished. However, there is only one high school in this county and the boy and his attackers eventually are going to be back on that school bus. Twice a day, every school day. Unless there is true recognition of their wrong doing and repentance for it on the part of the student offenders, this situation will repeat itself.

Aye, there’s the rub. True repentance. Cutting through all the pre-conditioning caused by the rhetoric mentioned earlier is going to be difficult -especially when teenagers are involved. If the “remorse for their action” is imposed by necessity, pretended, or superficial, it is going to lead to resentment and, ultimately, to feelings of or an actual desire for revenge.

Twice a day, every school day. That’s the problem the county courts, county police, county school district, and the families involved are trying to solve. Every one involved, even the offenders, knows there have to be consequences for this act. The trick is to craft a solution that meets the needs of justice while making it possible for the community to go forward, together, if possible.

BTW, JEDNCS

Trump needs to invite him to the White House. Give him a medal of Freedom. Start a fund to send him to Christian School.

Perhaps, but the world is tough place and living in a bubble isn't going to teach your kid the street smarts to deal with these situations.
