House Democrats urged the Supreme Court to allow them to enforce congressional subpoenas for President Donald Trump’s financial records, saying that the information was needed to protect the 2020 election from foreign interference. In a filing on Wednesday (pdf), the House attorneys argue that any harm suffered by Trump and his businesses from complying with the subpoena would be less severe than the harm the House and the public would suffer without having access to the financial records so that it could “exercise its constitutional functions.” The attorneys said the information was needed to determine if legislation is warranted to protect against threats of foreign interference.

They’re willing to impeach him without the records. So any perceived need for them is moot.
They’re in deeper all the time. I was reminded of an old saying today, If you’re going to kill the King you better do it the first shot. Well they’ve taken a whole bunch of shots and missed every time and all this does is make Trump more determined to get even.

POTUS’s returns are as perfect as can be as he has some of the best accountants in the world.
POTUS is protecting his returns for two reasons:
1. The principle of the 4th Amendment and privacy.
2. To keep his business partnerships confidential.
The second reason is to protect partners from hell-like witch hunt harassment in the manner that was dished out to Paul Manafort, Michael Cohen, Roger Stone, George Papadopoulos, Carter Page and dozens of others. If the criminal democrats get their hands on the names and companies under Trump, they will cause hell with those people.
Trump has his picture taken with many people good and bad but when it comes to business, he is careful and if he finds there’s a wrong connection he distances himself or terminates the contract.
Trump had to work with a lot of unions in NYC many of which are mob influenced but he always let it be known there was to be no direct connection with Mob elements. When he was investing with partners in Atlantic City casinos, he found out some of his partners were connected to mobsters and he distanced himself and cut his partnership. There are also reports that during this time he worked behind the scenes with Rudy Giuliani when Rudy was a prosecutor taking down the NYC-NJ Mob.
Trump is clean. He was asked to run by a counter-intel group who have backed him every step of the way. They spent more than ten years preparing for his presidency and part of that preparation and planning was to ensure he was squeaky clean in taxes and business.
The dems know there’s nothing wrong in his taxes because the IRS has been all over his returns every year since he mentioned Obama’s birth certificate was a forgery in 2012. Not only did the IRS go back 7 years from 2012 but they have been reviewing all his returns since.
The only reason the Dems want his returns is to get names of business partners and affiliates that they can shake down and try to flip.
Honestly, I think they already have the returns. I just don’t believe that the deep state doesn’t have people in the IRS or the NY State gov. Remember a couple years ago they found a couple of pages of an old tax record and it blew up in their face. they found out that Trump paid more in taxes than he should have. Maddow took a bath on the ratings. I think they already have his taxes but nothing is there so they’re using this to make him look like he’s hiding RUSSIAN money connections. And they know they can’t show the taxes unless they reveal their source and go to jail so this is kind of like a win win for them.
How is this NOT a Bill of Attainder as prohibited in the Constitution (and all the other violations on its face)??
The Supreme Court should have every DIM lunatic arrested and sent to GITMO for extensive mental health treatment of unlimited duration. What a bunch of self-preening, arrogant nitwits.
If the Supreme Court goes along with this, we inch ever closer to a revolution.
