First, holy shit there is ice and snow in the winter and it's because of climate change and they just figured this out. Next they will discover that because of the Earths rotation and it's elliptical orbit around that thing called the Sun the climate changes in different parts of the Earth at different times of the year.

checked this out. There are about 70,000 Sami of which abt 10% still herd reindeer, which has been discouraged by Sweden until recently. Last year the community sued the EU claiming damage from climate change and complaining about Sweden’s logging and mining industry. The EU turned down their claim, which they appealed. This week, the EU is supposed to release their EU Green deal. Getting in the news is likely part of trying to influence the EU Commission to win their appeal. (I’m guessing there is no American-type reservation, they just herd where they want. Are they laying claim, or expecting the EU to uphold the claim against a large part of arctic Sweden) ?
