I’ve long told my wife I want to get a car so ugly & hard to drive she won’t ever want to use it.
Currently teetering on the edge of getting either a poor-condition old Jeep Wrangler or bizarrely-futuristic Tesla Cybertruck. (Latter isn’t stick, but should still be odd enough to confuse unapproved drivers.)
My motto is to have a car that if someone breaks in, they will leave money.
I've done it, but kind of wish she would learn how to drive them.
404 Unimog, U1300L Unimog.
6 speeds forward, 2 reverse, mechanical four wheel drive and diff locks, and 8 speeds forward, 4 reverse with four wheel drive and diff locks air shift.
I find them easy to drive, but they have their quirks.
If you leave the shifting levers in a certain configuration, nobody who doesn't know Unimogs is going to go anywhere.
