Some of the Ancestry commercials made me ROFLMAO. Like the guy who all his life “KNEW” he had German roots, including wearing leiderhosen, etc; only to be told by Ancestry that he’s actually Scottish, so he switched to kilts and a bagpipe. Imagine the hillarity at Ancestry as the employees cook up BS stories to tell gullible clients. Barnum was spot on; or as we used to say in the machine shop, “dead nuts”.
A couple of years ago some ex employee from one of those DNA testing companies said they would put in some lineage to a minority, mostly black, on everybody's report. They said they did it to mess with people in case they were bigots.
Sorry to bust-up your party, but AncestryDNA found that my biological father was full blooded German descent, though I was brought up Cajun French. So these stories may seem odd, but due to the secrecy of mans/womans nature, all too common.
