My folks knew people who died at Pearl and in Honolulu that day. My folks never bought anything Japanese again.

Good men and women in our armed forces and police forces who put God first and will not hesitate to defend America from internal and external threats are the salt of the earth.

Along with truckers, emergency workers, electricians, and the rest of the common working men and women who love God and America... we can’t forget about them.. cause they will rise to the occasion too.. when the day comes.

I wake up with hope in my heart and soul today.. for God.. and America.

My late Uncle Bill was an Army Air Corps mechanic at Hickim Field that morning with dreams of becoming a pilot. He got his knee shot out and that ended that dream. He spent two and a half years recovering. He could have requested a discharge but he didn't. He stayed in the Army and became a combat engineer in the Third Army. He was wounded again in the shoulder pulling out of St. Vith during The Battle of The Bulge.

I think a lot more people who represent a much more varied range of career pursuits will respond in kind as well. Let’s not limit our scope to such a narrow margin of society...

I pray we still have enough men like that in our country.

A guy at work drives a Mitsubishi Eclipse. If he’s there today, I’m going to tell him that car was made by the grandkids of the people who made the planes that attacked Pearl Harbor. See what he says.

My late father was a WW II vet. And he made it quite clear that no one in the family was to buy a Japanese car. If I pulled into the driveway with one, he’d probably attack it with a sledge hammer. So I always stuck with Fords.

The funny thing about this is, my dad landed on Utah Beach, but he drove Volkswagens the rest of his life.

I think there was a considerable difference in attitude of people in that era toward the Germans, compared to that toward the Japanese.

Yes, indeed. And I suppose much of that was due to the sneak attack on Pearl Harbor. And the operative word there is “sneak”. That, of course, made a lot of Americans very angry. So a revenge factor was involved

Thank you. I’d like to think we do.
