She may have a good case.
Delta could have found a cheaper way out.
Now they will likely have to pay.
They need a PT test and a competence test to ensure that she can perform emergency procedures. I suspect that she would choose to retire.
I’ve seen super senior flight attendants who fly out of major international airports who can barely pour a cup of coffee much less help to evacuate an airplane. This is a safety of flight issue.
On the night table, along with her glass eye.
Good question. Pilots actually earn LESS than she did!
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the median annual wage for airline pilots and copilots is $117,290. The bottom 10 percent earned under $60,770, while the top 10 percent earned more than $187,200.

I see several posts in this thread referring to a union.
For the record, Delta flight attendants are NOT unionized.
Well, well. You are correct. They are the only airlines that are not unionized.
That being the case, they DO have to follow union standards, payscales and benefits or else lose employees to other companies.
Flight attendants are not there just to serve drinks and snacks. They have responsibilities in the event of a crash or other emergencies that can impact how many passengers survive. I don’t believe an 80 year old can handle these responsibilities..
“What?
Delta has 80 year old Flight Attendants?”
My sister was a Delta stew. They referred to them as “Flying Fossils”.
There are not too many 79 year old commercial airline pilots.
At least on no flight I’m going to board.
Actually there are NO 79 year old commercial airline pilots.
Per Federal Law - they age out at 65.
I bet she was something before monoplanes.
Lmao!!! Any lawyer would take her case! Her age has a golden ticket!
I hope they settle quick, her actuarial table ran out!
I retired in 2003 at $201,000
79 years old? That’s just wrong.
$250K per year?
No wonder flights cost so much.
Also know as sky hags. Old NWA mainly.
A better question is why she was still working at 79? No offence but at some point you have to hang it up and make way for the next generation. This is an emergency response position for crying out loud.
Pilots are aged out at 60.
United has one who is 82 or so and she has been with them since 1957. You look these flight attendants up on YouTube.
