Just like in our New Military.
It's exactly the spot one should expect to wait in line. In fact, it's famous/notorious for that.
It’s funny how we’ve reached a point in modern civilization where climbing Everest is just a bucket list thing.
They should just build a nice lodge up there, with a really, REALLY long tram ride. :)
Not a good place to be inexperienced at climbing. Not at all. What the hell were they thinking?
I have enough danger and adventure just trying out a new Chinese buffet.
It’s sad and sobering, that there are numerous dead bodies up there, which are never retrieved.
How sad for their loved ones, that people die up there on this great adventure of climbing a mountain.

Photo taken May 22, 2019 and released by climber Nirmal Purja's Project Possible expedition, showing dangerous traffic jam above Everest's deadly comp 4.

Idiots on a mountain.
I'm the Mountain
Tell my tale
The greatest story's now for sale
With teens, ladders and the ever terrified woman, I thought this would be about the border wall.
A good book on the adventure of climbing Mt. Everest was “Into Thin Air”, written by Jon Krakauer on the disastrous 1996 climb. One can’t help but think that if the majority of the ropes and ladders - all the “assists” were removed from the climb making it less attractive to the inexperienced, there would be fewer deaths but then why should we care? I’m not sure I do but probably the people doing it for a lark because they can afford it are responsible for the deaths of others on the climb and that’s what is objectionable.
The park really needs to close this ride.
The whole bucket list for competitive bored white liberal elites is boring...
Get over it elites... we're NOT impressed....
But they wanted to feel good about accomplishing something. Do they still get participation trophies?/s
Solution: Put in a zip line to Camp 4. Safe, rapid descent. No more interminable delays at the Hillary Step when people climbing and descending have to pass each other.
Happens every year. You could open a Starbucks at the Hillary Step the traffic is so heavy.
I climb/hike to get away from people. That looks awful.

Challenging Everest? Why not drop in at Ricky Pule's, only 24,000 feet from this cinema. Ricky and Maurice offer a variety of styles for the well-groomed climber. Why should Tenzing and Sir Edmond Hillary be number one on top, when you're number one on top?
