I like the Mariah Carey song.

I hate “The Twelve Days of Christmas”. It’s so darn monotonous, how could it not be #1?

You might like John Rutter’s Christmas choral music.

Heavenly.

“Baby It’s Cold Outside”, “Winter Wonderland”, “Sleigh Ride”, “Frosty The Snowman”, et. al.

All “Christmas” songs that have nothing to do with Christmas.

I’ve noticed in recent years that those are the type of songs that are getting the vast majority of airplay.

A parson is a pastor, minister, vicar.
So Parson Brown is a pastor who’s last name is Brown.

“In the meadow we can build a snowman
We’ll pretend that he is Parson Brown
He’ll say, Are you married?
We’ll say, No man
But you can do the job while you’re in town”

It’s kinda cute

Listen closely to Brenda Lee’s Rocking Around The Christmas Tree. The seventh line in the lyrics sounds like she sings “Later we’ll have some f@#$ing pie...”
Give it a spin....

I’ll agree with a lot these posted here, but I’ll put up with them because, unlike other annoying songs, they eventually go away a while.

Exactly. Meaningless pop drivel which somehow helps sell socks and underwear to the masses.

I can’t listen to any version of 12 Days of Christmas without hearing the old classic 12 Days of Clinton - On the ___ Day of Clinton he promised we would see ... 5 folding wings (of the Air Force), 4 balanced budgets, 3 liberal judges, 2 more million jobs, and a tax cut for you and for me.

Feliz Navidad.

I always thought that song was about an illegal whose Dad got deported, "Police Nab Me Dad"

Here’s one I really like:

The Penguins-A Christmas Prayer

This one’s good for a laugh:

Jerry and the Landslides-Get Off My Roof

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XkQujz5zqis

And one I never want to hear again:

Harry Simeone Chorale-The Little Drummer Boy

(no link, go find it yourself if you choose)

And one I will never tire of hearing:

O Holy Night (so many great versions, it’s hard to choose)

I would also add McCartney's "Wonderful Christmas Time" to the list.

This. Based on his last fifty years of output, it's amazing that he was once one of the two most essential members of the best band in modern history.

But Lennon's "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)" is even worse.

Hmmmm...

My Favorite modern(ish) seasonal song has to be “Jingle My Bells” by the Tractors. They also do up a good cover of “Daddy Looks A Lot Like Santa”

If we’re talkin’ about CHRIST Mass carols that is a whole category unto itself. Of which “O’ Holy Night” still raises goose bumps of Glorious Wonder.
