"bi-partisan..."

Kind of apparent who the Dems are from the photo and video.

The two sourpusses in the photo remained sourpusses throughout the video.

Repeal the 19th!

How Dramatically Did Women's Suffrage Change the Size and Scope of Government?, John R. Lott

Using cross-sectional time-series data for 1870 to 1940, we examine state government expenditures and revenue as well as voting by U.S. House and Senate state delegations and the passage of a wide range of different state laws. Suffrage coincided with immediate increases in state government expenditures and revenue and more liberal voting patterns for federal representatives, and these effects continued growing over time as more women took advantage of the franchise. Contrary to many recent suggestions, the gender gap is not something that has arisen since the 1970s, and it helps explain why American government started growing when it did.

I thought the Susan B Anthony dollar was about women’s suffrage.

When they decided to introduce a dollar coin, which the people didn’t particualarly want, the women in Congress insisted that it feature a woman. When Susan B Anthony was chosen, the mint tried to ‘soften her portrait’ a bit. The powers-that-were were outraged. They wanted her depicted in all of her hatchet-faced glory. So we ended up with a coin that was ugly and too close in size to a quarter. The public rejected the coin.

Problem was, and still is, I believe that there are 10s of millions of these coins in warehouses to this day. Every year they’re in storage costs money. But melting them down isn’t an option either. Each SBA dollar has a bit more than 5¢ worth of metal in, meaning that if they’re melted down the government will have to write off a 95% loss. At least we were able to pass off the Sacagawea dollars to Ecuador.

Most women could not tell you what suffrage means overall as a movement and would sh*t themselves if I said one of the greatest disasters in America was the woman’s right to vote. They voted and are voting this country into the toilet. This also goes for other Amendments and classes of people. Yes,this is harsh, but take a good look at USA 2019. It is going to get much worse and America is past peak.

To tell you how ineffective SBA was, it wasn't until 14 years after her death that women got the right to vote.

IMHO, the only reason we go on and on about it is the fact the she lived in Rochester and the press was active.

And our dear women were also the prohibitionists...how'd that go.

All these special coins are a waste of tax dollars. As you say, they sit in a warehouse. Or the few that got out were snatched up by collectors.

What women should be concerned with is men taking over women’s sports.

I get those dollar coins at the bank and use them as tips. I also carry a real silver dollar as a comparison and object lesson on inflation.
