Actually, it’s not. It’s general tech gift advice. Note the no AppleWatch for Android phone users advice (read it in reverse), and no bargain basement Chromebook advice. . . They can’t be updated if they are too far beyond intro-date. Buy your giftee a much newer one, they aren’t that expensive to begin with. In other words, buy gifts that are appropriate for the recipient.

I was given an i-pad after complementing someones. Turned out that although it looked contemporary it was too old and wouldn’t accept installs or upgrades. Thanks!
