She made her Money in America so she could afford to live in Bali.

Without living in America first, she would be living in a Tent on a Bali Beach if the Government let her live there without showing up with a bunch of Money.

Anyway, good for her. Her hard work paid off.

I wonder, is she collecting her Social Security yet?

I actually read the Article. She looks great for being 69.

Too many disadvantages being an Expat there IMHO, especially if Health is an issue.

Sounds like she found what she was searching for in Life.

Many people should be so lucky.

I envy her for the gumption to pack up and make that move. I love the hot tropics and if it weren’t for the activities I enjoy here that are not available abroad, I’d move in a second.

She said you can live comfortably in Bali on $36,000 per year. That is poverty level in San Francisco or Manhattan. Even if all she has is SS, it is probably enough for her to live well in Bali. That is always a major draw for Expats.

I mean, 15 year lease on a home for $60,000. That is $300/month to rent a home. Good luck with that in America outside of the hood.
