Dems have put impeachment on the back burner for the holidays. Nothing will happen until January. Rush said today he was told the Dems do have the votes to impeach but only just barely. We have to assume they will impeach and keep the pressure on the GOP controlled Sentae to substantively support POTUS now.

If Brenda Lawrence is opposed to impeachment then the Democrats almost certainly DO NOT have the votes to impeach Trump. The discussion about Democrats in the House has always focused on the 30+ vulnerable Democrats who represent districts that voted for Trump in 2016, but Lawrence is the first one from a safe Democratic district to come out against impeachment.

This whole charade has gone about as badly for the Democrats as they could have imagined.
