I saw a commercial saying she was getting Artist of the Decade. Thats how you know its been a really bad ten years in music.
An astute observation! Lol!
I can't imagine they'd give it to anyone else. Since 2010, there has been nobody who has had a greater impact on music than Taylor Swift. Even if she hadn't sold her soul to the Left, she'd still have gotten this award.
And music today is as good as it's been in a long time. Problem is, nobody is hearing any of it. There's countless great bands out there but instead of making millions of dollars selling CDs to millions of fans, they're barely keeping the lights on through Pandora and Spotify and a few thousand subscribers. By the time you or I discover them, they've already released three albums, broken up, and quit music for day jobs.
If true, she’s really broken up with a lot of guys the last 10 years.
Damn, that really is pathetic. I remember growing up in the 70s there were so many spectacular performer/songwriters it was almost impossible to choose the best.

No doubt the decades cunning stunt.
Nothing to do with music. That’s just them celebrating her transformation from seemingly nice girl to whore. A lot of her fans probably transformed right along with her.
Unlike many Freepers, I like TS’s music. Her airhead politics is another matter. But if I stopped eating every product whose CEO or someone in the company hated Trump; quit buying houses from every developer who had a different political idea than I did; or refused to watch any TV or listen to any music I thought was produced by someone whose views I disagree with, then I’d be gone in a week.
Roger Williams, in the early Puritan church, became so concerned that he couldn’t interact with anyone whose Christianity he didn’t trust, that before long he was only able to have communion with his wife.
Then he decided he couldn’t trust her. That’s when he decided perhaps to let God sort it out.
I think specific, targeted boycotts for a very precise reason can be effective. But if it moves beyond that, then they lose all power.
So, I’m flipping on “Delicate” right now, followed by a little Kanye.
I cant think of anyone from the 70s who had ten million copy albums sold in a week in a row like Taylor. Sure, there was good music back then. But Taylor writes and her songs resonate with huge swaths of people over different ages and cultures. She puts her fans first and is one of the most humble and grateful artists around. She sacrifices for many struggling artists by taking the big hits to help change the industry from being bloodthirsty pimps over the talent. She shows up at fans birthday parties and hospital beds more than anyone Ive ever heard of. She is nice and kind and decent.
Kanye West may like Trump but he has always been boorish, reckless, obviously mentally ill (bipolar), and unkind. One doesnt need to take sides between the two artists here, but judging people only on their politics is missing the point sometimes.
Congrats to Taylor. I love her work and Im a huge fan. Her songs are getting better and better. I wish her another decade of great music.
