Depends on the version you’re speaking of.
1903 caused problems for many, many people, including me.
It broke printing functionality across a wide swathe of users and printers and drivers, forcing everyone to scramble to update printer software.
In my case it also broke basic things like Visual Runtimes which in turn caused problems with all manner of software that rely on the runtimes. And, curiously, Outlook mail messages refused to send because the client and server would not shake hands on the security front (web client and Thunderbird tests were OK) regardless of port/SSL settings.
Rolling back (which, fortunately, was available) eliminated these problems. One problem that remains, however, is Microsoft/Windows’ dogged insistence on checking/downloading updates and having the cheek to only allow the user to pause such updates for a small amount of time. Third party utilities overcome this but like so many Microsoft is causing problems for the end-users for Microsoft’s benefit ie they’re trying to minimize their support costs.
Frankly, I’m sick of the monkey see-monkey do GUI sameness. Everything’s flat now. But we have powerful video chips and cards and powerful high res displays. So why are we going flat? Why are all providers and platforms going flat at the same time?
