I never heard of him, though I grew up south of you in Michigan. But it sounds like he was a great guy and fascinating performer. Anybody who is inspired by The Cure is alright with me. People forget that Alzheimers can start very early.

I think if I come down with Alzheimer’s, I’ll drive to the end of the last dirt road, take an ATV as far in as I can get it, hike as far further as I can, and let nature take its course.

No point in going through hospitalization just for a few more days.
