Another reason I don’t go out to dinner at night.
Or anywhere else. I live near a prestigious American university, and the prevailing cultural feature is alcohol glorification. It beats sex and politics. Social media is saturated with references to it. And the next nearest college, and the next, are no better. I have seen drivers coming down the road on the wrong side of the highway, deliberately -- playing chicken.
These are the supposedly high achievers who have a lot on the line.
Also, those without valid license and insurance will freely admit it and they drive anyway. No respect for the law, whether native-born or invader.
