Harry Connick Jr. recalled an “unpleasant experience” with Frank Sinatra when he was “completely inappropriate” with his then-girlfriend and current wife, model Jill Goodacre.
The jazz artist remembered getting choked up during a performance in front of Sinatra, who died in 1998.
“That was an unpleasant experience because as much as I wanted to sing for him and everyone else … I don’t get nervous but I was really nervous for that and I blanked out,” he said on the UK’s “This Morning” (via Yahoo News). “I completely forget the words. I was with my wife, then my girlfriend, and then we saw Frank at the lift and I said, ‘We should go, I need to explain myself.'”

He’s getting something off his chest. Maybe he felt guilty that he didn’t somehow stand up for his girlfriend. I love Harry, he is awesome and I take him at his word.
Why would you say such a thing? They’ve been married for 22 years. They are still married and by all accounts happy. So nasty and undeserved. They she be lauded for being able to have a good marriage in Hollywood.
He says his wife thought it was a hoot. Okay, so an old man kissed your girlfiend in front of you, and she thought it was funny but you were annoyed. Why bring that up? If he played it for laughs, okay. But he’s making it sound like a “me too” thing when he acknowledges that his girlfiend / wife thought it was funny.
WTF is the point now to bring this out? It serves zero purpose.

I can’t blame any red-blooded male for going after Jill Goodacre. Sinatra’s been dead for 20 years and he’s probably still hankerin’ for her.
the weight gain is probably related to the cancer treatment she is on. I think she has or had breast cancer.

Yup. He should have stepped up at that moment. Of course he’d have gotten his narrow butt whipped by Sinatra’s goons, but he would not have the shame he obviously lives with to this day.

I remember seeing some pics of her back in the day and she was stunning.
From the story, it doesn’t sound like she was bothered. Not at all.
