NFL rumors: Evaluators not blown away by Colin Kaepernick’s “average” workout
NBC Sports ^ | 11/17/19 | Marcus White

Colin Kaepernick showed off his arm strength in a highly publicized workout at a high school outside of Atlanta on Saturday, but the former 49ers quarterback reportedly didn't "blow away" any talent evaluators.

Kaepernick showed he was "[good] enough to be on a roster, likely backup level" in the eyes of a "consensus scouting report" NFL Media's Ian Rapoport gathered, citing sources, but his colleague Mike Garafolo reported Sunday that there didn't seem to be much interest in Kaepernick.

"He had to blow some teams away," Garafolo said Sunday on "NFL GameDay." "He didn't do that."

Kaepernick's "velocity was real good" but his "[accuracy] and touch" were average, according to the scouting report Rapaport cited.

Left unsaid in Garafalo and Rapaport's reporting is why Kaepernick needed to "blow some teams away," and it has little to do with his on-field ability.

After giving this loser a special tryout break and then he pulls this PR stunt and doesn't show up at the NFL venue, who is going to hire this guy ever again?

He's telegraphing that he's still trouble to whoever is dumb enough to extend him an offer.

And Nike is embarrassing themselves big time by leaving him as their spokesman.

Maybe Kunte Kinte is hiring.

Question to Marcus White: Where did you get the information to support this statement?

Kapernich sucks. Defensive Coordinators figured him out, like they get paid to do and his skill set wasn’t good enough. Can the guy throw a ball farther than Uncle Rico? Probably. But if you can’t drop it in a guys lap, 30yds down the sideline while your receiver is being covered like a blanket, you aren’t that good in the NFL.

I noticed he’s keepin’ it real by trying to effect a black dialect, like Obama and Hillary when they’re pandering.
Maybe he can get a few more tats while he’s waiting to hear from the NFL, he must have an open square inch of skin somewhere.

Didn’t he sue the NFL and get a settlement?

Kap’s games is not NFL level football, it is racially tinged controversy, with the NFL as his foil and used to market sports apparel. As the League's officials and players figure that out, they will spurn him as a distraction to their business and careers. The sports commentariat will then follow the NFL’s lead.

“Today I saw another black quarterback (Jackson?) wearing a T-shirt that said, “Nobody cares. Work harder.””

I saw that shirt and loved it.

Reminds me of the commercial where they have one scenario of a kicker bumbling around all over the place and he’s told congratulations - he made the team...

"SNF reported on the tryout but were careful not to show his "slave" T-shirt."

I noticed that as well. They had a photo where you would have seen the print clearly if they had not blacked it out. Deliberate attempt to deceive viewers and prop him up.

Unfortunately, the NFL took the bait and his shirt was an attempted slap in the NFL's face by comparing his workout to the slave market portrayed in Roots.

He’s right up there with the Clintons and Obamas on my list of “people who should go away.”

As I age the list seems to be getting larger.

;)

“He has no intention to play in NFL
This clown thinks he’s a martyr
Down with the struggle!”

Exactly, he was already set financially when his career tanked. The NFL gave him a unknown settlement for god knows what reason plus Nike gave him millions. His Marxist girlfriend is pulling the strings.

He was supposed to be in Flowery branch which is northeast of Atlanta and I think radio said he showed up in Riverdale which is about 90 minutes away, southwest of Atlanta

*He’s always been that way. The only coach he performed for was Jim Harbaugh.*

Maybe Kap should go play for Crybaby Harbaugh again. Just go take a few classes at UM, maybe African American studies. Surely Crybaby will extend a scholarship to him.

Looks like he and all of his staff showed up with their protest shirts. Great way to help make a case to come back.

This was a farce, nothing more.
