One person was killed and at least four others were injured in a shooting at Saugus High School in Santa Clarita on Thursday morning, authorities said.

The shooting was reported at the campus at 21900 Centurion Way about 7:40 a.m., prompting a massive law enforcement response. Paramedics swarmed the campus, treating the wounded while authorities combed nearby neighborhoods searching for a 15-year-old boy suspected in the shooting. Agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department SWAT team also assisted with the search.

After roughly an hour, authorities said that the suspect, who is believed to be a student at the school, had been apprehended. The teen, who was not immediately identified, is being treated at a hospital and is in unknown condition, Sheriff Alex Villanueva said.

Earthquakes (Which can affect hundreds of miles) and hurricanes (Internal flooding as it spreads into the country across several States) are not regional (However are also sensationalized for ratings and agendas such as anthropogenic climate change).

You create the “patterns” where you want to see them. Don’t be a nut.

Strange how this shooting happened just after that Supreme Court ruling.

No, I don’t and neither do you.

It wouldn’t hold up in court.

Because there is far too much “circumstantial” evidence and not actual evidence.

The patterns are still extremely random in a population of millions.

Seeing patterns is because your brain wants to make sense of it. It’s often called “matrixing”.

Even if we knew the why nothing would change. It’s not like these events are unheard of. Plenty of data around. Most common sense ideas from our side are ignored since the education establishment is a leftist cabal. The only response the left has is more and more worthless gun control.

I am sure this will become a rallying cry for more gun laws:

Let’s look at some of the California gun laws that did not stop this.

Schools are gun free zones.

children under the age of 21 are not to own or possess handguns.

California has regulations on safe storage of firearms to keep them out of the hands of minors and criminals

California regulates magazine capacity and the “legality/safety” of firearms only allowing those tested to be sold in the state.

California has laws against concealed carry and give out very few concealed carry licenses.

Yes, the answer to such a shooting is new gun control laws that will also not work.

UPDATE:
Two dead - same link.

Four people from the school were transported to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital for treatment. Two students, a 16-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy, died there. A 15-year-old girl, a 14-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy are being treated. Their conditions were not immediately known.

“Did I just witness a deep state plant?”

Yes. KNX radio called it “an event” in Santa Clarita. All school shootings are suspicious now after Sandy Hook. No amount of school shootings will clean up the bad reputation of the media. KNX, KFI, KABC and KOGO in San Diego were waxing poetic about “deep thoughts” and well, sniff, the, sniff, families. at 12:10 PM today the KNX anchor woman was talking about a student who was hiding for an hour like it was a boring traffic report.

Black-on-black or illegal-alien violence. Count on it.

90%+ of the people in this country would not have a clue who Charles Whitman was.

I'm old enough to remember the Austin Texas Tower Shooter who killed a total of 15 or 16 people from the observation deck of the University of Texas tower. It was the year I graduated high school.

He was considered one of the first mass murderers in the country's recent history. He appeared normal but had documented mental health problems and even had a small tumor in his brain that might have contributed to his deadly massacre.

I believe he murdered his mother and his wife before starting on his rampage on the Austin campus.

Yes killed both mother and wife prior to the Tower shootings.

You got a few years on me there - just a kid, but I remember it vividly, as I do the Richard Speck murders. Horrific events.

The authorities said the tumor wasn’t a causative factor, but I think that would be hard to determine.

I read later after my response to you, that he killed a total of 17 people.

The 17th victim died 30 years after the event from complications of injuries sustained in the original shooting. Amazing.

Who knows why he did what he did. He was complaining and admitting to bad thoughts before he went on his rampage.

Mental illness and maybe the tumor, maybe not.

We'll never know but it was big news at the time.
