Having been prayed over by someone who cares I can say that its not about asking God to take away the illness its about asking God for strength to carry on.
Being in the position of having cancer and having to wait for answers I prayed for and found that Jesus was giving me strength to endure my hardship, he is helping me carry my cross! At first I was amazed, I could feel Jesus step between me and my fears and he stands there to this day. His love is real, its tangible, and while I have moments of doubt and fear I always come back to His light and put my faith in Him and I am safe again.

Nice Picture.
Not that uncommon as to real life I have witnessed growing up in the rural South.
