Regis Philbin and his wife Joy have put their Greenwich, Conn., home on the market at a much lower price than they bought it.
The 13,661-square-foot residence is selling for $4.595 million, according to the listing. That price is actually 36 percent less than what the Philbins paid for it almost 10 years ago, The Wall Street Journal reported.
Every seller in Greenwich is having to adjust to this market, the propertys listing agent, Joseph Barbieri of Sothebys International Realty Greenwich Brokerage told FOX Business. [ ]
The English Manor-inspired house has six bedrooms, nine full bathrooms and three partial bathrooms, according to the listing.
It also has seven fireplaces, mahogany library, a billiard room, a pub room with a full bar, a home theater, sauna, gym and a wine cellar, the listing said. [ ]
Amenities on the property also include a one-bedroom guest house and garages to fit five cars, the listing said.

I just retired, ran the numbers, and my largest expenses are:
(1) Federal income tax
(2) Health care insurance
(3) State income tax
(4) Property taxes
When I start collecting social security (3) and (4) will switch.
Bottom line: for senior citizens public policy is about taxes, taxes, taxes—everything else is just noise.
That’s a rather personal question..
I have 3 bathrooms. So I hired a housekeeper. Lol
Well, he can always make an Airbnb.
[[Twelve bathrooms for just six bedrooms...just wow.]]
Well when you’re walking from one end of the house to the other, ya might have to make a few stops along the way-
Yes, I live in CA. It sucks.
Even if you have ‘staff’, you have the grief of managing it.
It’s great for people who want to live that way and can afford it. It’s not for me - I want a little house in the country, just enough space to do the things I want to do without being a burden of time and worry. I’d get lost in a place like that and feel that I was living in some kind of institution.
Bathrooms and kitchens are a pain to keep clean. But I don’t like other people taking care of my home.
Wonder where he and his wife will be moving after selling this behemoth, assuming both are still alive (no ‘celebrity’ groupie, here). The two will be needing accommodations. One also wonders where will the maids be employed? The gardeners? and all other upstairs, downstairs personnel.
That is happening all over the country. Its bad news.
Curious that there are twice as many toilets as bedrooms.
Do you know how LONG it takes to walk from Bathroom #1 at one end of the bedroom to Bathroom #2 at the other end of the bedroom? You need to pack an overnight bag for that hike. Having bathrooms close by can be a life saver in certain, ah, um, emergencies.
They’re moving back to California to be near the kids and grandkids. I recall that he and ,especially Joy, wanted a place near Mara Lago. He used to spend a lot of time down there with Trump and loved the weather.
How is it personal?
Who, in the world, wants to move to Connecticut?
What a shame. It appears to be a fine bargain.
Not worth it.
Uh, whatever you say.
Property taxes in my TX county goes up 10% each and every year.
No one needs 13,661 sq ft.
Who knew Regis was still alive?
“No one needs 13,661 sq ft.”
No one needs that many guns...
No one should have that many kids...
No one should make that kind of money...
No one needs that many cars in a family...
No one needs that many acres...
See where I am coming from?
Wants vs. needs.
Keeping up with the Jones’.
It’s not like he’s Jon Voight.
