I love these SHTF threads, it offers an opportunity to compare notes with the choices others have made.

I can check off everything on your list except that I opted to purchase an S&W .357 wheel gun (my entry into firearms ownership). Decades later it’s still my favorite of the bunch.

Now if I could just get my hands on a phased plasma rifle in the 40-watt range...
