Wow. That is amazing. I remember saving for a Dell with 50Hz processor in 1997 and it was over a thousand dollars. 3.8GHz for $145. Wow.

In other news, the 1980 Space Shuttle had about twenty computer for auto-pilot and each computer had 1MB.

Need a good, free computer? Just walk around Berkeley on a weekend, since many people put their old computers on the sidewalks for free.

Got you beat. I bought a Radio Shack Model 4 nearly 40 years ago. Came with RS’s proprietary TRSDOS operating system. Paid $2,100 for it. A week later RS dropped the TRSDOS system and started selling MSDOS computers.
