Lenin’s reputation is, in my opinion and UNJUSTLY, significantly enhanced by the monster who succeeded him, Joseph Stalin. Stalin’s lengthy (1924-53) and extremely bloody rule makes Lenin’s relatively short term of rule (1917-24) appear comparatively benign.

Lenins reputation is, in my opinion and UNJUSTLY, significantly enhanced by the monster who succeeded him, Joseph Stalin. I agree. You still hear people claim that communism would have worked if Lenin hadn't died. I think Lenin died before people could see how big an asshole he was.
