I don’t even remember egg eating as being a part of that movie. Of course, Cool Hand Luke is one of those films that was very popular for a long time. I never did see it, having already heard about it. Back then, almost anything Paul Newman did was instant Hollywood Gold.
I think he also did a movie about playing pool with the legendary Minnesota Fats. That was a big deal too.
I guess they must have cut out the post-contest carting scenes. P, and might I add, U!
