The liberal bubble – the one in which everyone agrees with the progressives and Hollywood elite – is about to burst one more time in the era of Trump. You understand, it was meant to dispel the frivolous notion of President Trump’s popularity and grab headlines and ratings. The decision by American Broadcasting Company (ABC) to add his former White House press secretary, Sean Spicer, to the roster of the reality television ratings juggernaut, Dancing With The Stars, was a questionable move by the network bent on becoming the moral enforcer of the airwaves.
In past years, other conservative politicians and politicos have been on the show for similar mocking purposes: Tucker Carlson, former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay, and former Texas Governor Rick Perry. ABC has a wicked way of getting their kicks.
But back to Spicer and the nuclear fallout.
Caroline Famke of Variety lost her mind and wrote a scathing piece slamming, not Spicer, but ABC for including the man for a “cynical ratings grab.” And genial co-host Tom Bergeron was nearly apoplectic after the big bosses dissed his advice:
“I offered suggestions for season 28. Chief among them was my hope that ‘DWTS,’ in its return following an unprecedented year-long hiatus, would be a joyful respite from our exhausting political climate and free of inevitably divisive bookings from ANY party affiliations.”
Apparently, ABC could not resist a bite from the poisoned apple. And what has it gotten them? Yeah, poisoned and rasping an eerie death knell.

I don’t watch the show but my theory from a distance has been that the producers are keeping Spicer around in order to humiliate him. But maybe that’s a bad theory and he really has a big pool of supporters whose votes are sustaining him?
IMO, likely the latter; Trump supporters are going to support him in strange ways.
I watched several of Spicer’s dances on Youtube last night and while his dancing is pretty awful, he looks like he is enjoying every minute of it. He’s got a smile on his face the entire time and he showcases his partner’s abilities very nicely. I hope he wins.
All the male non professional contestants are nothing but stationary trees that their partners twirl around.....
I've only watched bits and pieces and none of it is real dancing but rather gymnastics with old guys or women dressed up and their corresponding professional partners dressing down to the bare skin............

Trump supporters are happy warriors; UniParty Trump haters are arrogant, miserable, humorless, oblivious Greta Thunberg-like sour pusses. They are also devoid of knowledge, practical experience and logic, and mean as hell.
My wife and I have been voting for Sean since week one. He is by far the worse dancer. Each week now that Sean survives is pissing off the Hollywood types. It is so much fun to use the vote as a referendum for Trump and against the liberal Hollywood people. As soon as some of the judges and host heard he was going to be on Dancing with the stars they were upset and wished he would have never been picked for the show.
Fans? No. More like folks that are thumbing their noses at a stupid show and doing all they can to make sure Spicer wins just to piss off the left. It’s hilarious!

I doubt it....we had a male guy friend who was always invited out with our group to any night of dancing because he was a lousey dancer but loved to dance in such a way everybody was entertained including him.....no rythum whatsoever but he didn’t care He had great fun and we knew he did.
We out to have a ‘Freep the Vote’.
It would be far more meaningful out FR than freeping any poll.
Spicer (read: Trump) supporters are keeping him in the contest. You can cast 10 votes for Spicer by texting SEAN to 21523, and another 10 by going to abc.com and clicking on the DWTS link (you must register an email address, so perhaps use a dummy) — 20 total per episode. You can cast votes only on Mondays between 8pm to ~9:45pm Eastern time. Voting closes after the final dance and as the show goes to its last commercial break. Supporters in the Mountain & Pacific time zones must vote blind before the show airs, but that really makes no difference.
SPICER/TRUMP MIRROR BALL 2019!
He has two left feet and not much style. But he looks like he’s enjoying himself; and the judges treat him kindly and give him credit for obviously giving his enthusiastic all in every dance routine. No telling how long he can hang on.
If Spicer wins the mirror ball trophy, I’d like to see him take it to the White House and pose with Trump as it sits on the Resolute desk in the Oval Office. Leftist heads coast to coast would explode. The LGBTQWERTYs would march on Washington. Pelosi would start another phony “investigation.”
When is the voting?
I never watch the show but I would love to vote for him.

I don’t even know what day the shows on.
That show never was to highlight the finest of dancers but the favorite dancer of all the contestants. Sean and his supporters are driving the liberals nuts.
