What a loving thought to share your talent in making memories for family. The soft glow of candlelight and the smell of evergreen. Comforting...

These use no candles, but Christmas lights.

Thanks so much for this link! I love the flower lights idea for two reasons:

11]. When my garden dies out in the fall (like now!), I find it quite depressing. This year, I planted late zinnias, but I think the frost got them last night. To light the garden up during the long dark hours of winter would be a mental lift. I have plenty of metal fence posts that I use to support tomato cages/plants so they would make great ‘stalks’. Here are some zinnia pics that I posted on the garden thread yesterday, if you’re interested:

[2] This past year, my elderly mom got rid of a lot of partially or totally non-working Christmas lights/decorations (outside lighted deer made from branches, etc.), plus they were getting too hard for her to deal with. We are in a rural area so flower lights up the sidewalk or along the driveway/fence would be really pretty. As simple as these are to make, if a light had an issue, it could easily be replaced. I have bookmarked the page – I’m going to have to set up a new database for all these craft ideas - I keep my knit/crochet patterns on a database so I don’t ‘lose’ them, also have them if the website links quit working.

The Homemade Vanilla …. a present I wish someone would give me since I haven’t had time to make it for myself. I have a couple of nieces who like making homemade gifts …. I’ll have to leave them some big hints!!
