That was roughly the plot of “The Mirror Crack’d.”

Thanks so much for leading me down this memory lane.
I saw most of Tierney's movies when I was a yute....not only because of her looks and acting abilities, but because virtually all her movies were seriously-well-done dramas, making them very popular with the movie public of the day. I always watch for her movies on the classic movie TV channels.

Please, if you ever notice a broadcast of “Son of Fury,” let me know date, time, channel. If it’s on, I’ll record it.

“The Mirror Crack’d” was inspired by the Tierney incident.

Well, thanks so much. I ordered an hdmi cable from Amazon, received it yesterday, plugged it into my laptop and watched “Son of Fury” this morning.
It’s as good as I remembered. And Gene Tierney as “Eve” was as beautiful and loveable as she always was.

Happy you finally got to watch "Son of Fury. I'll be checking with my movie classics channel. They regularly have dates featuring 4 or 5 particular star's movies in a row...hope they do Gene Tierney one of these nights. They did Tyrone Power recently.
I still live in the Golden Days of Hollywood, sigh.
