A wildfire swept through the star-studded hills of Los Angeles on Monday, destroying several large homes and forcing celebrities like Kathy Griffin, LeBron James and Arnold Schwarzenegger to flee along with thousands of other people.
Meanwhile, a blaze in Northern California wine country exploded in size.
Terrified students at Mount Saint Mary's University were also forced to flee around midnight, taking what they could in their cars, as the flames ramped up toward the campus. Classes at UCLA were also canceled.
The flames roared up a steep hillside near the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles' Brentwood section illustrated the danger the state faces as high winds batter both ends of California and threaten to turn any spark into a devastating inferno.

Great song, but the out of focus video made my eyes hurt! Videos from the 70s and 80s can be horrible.
I thought that was a colorized photo of a “pinhead” from the Tod Browning movie FREAKS.

If the Hollywood celebrities would shut the **** up about President Trump and his American supporters, maybe all that wind there would die down. I imagine that invasion coming across our southern border is stirring up a lot of that wind too.
Wonder what her position would be IF this were one of Trump’s properties?

The over the top Enviros in California have worked for years to create the right kind of situation where fire would be disastrous.
Ranchers have a phrase:

Herds of goats can be brought in for very little $$$$$ & used to remove the “ladder fuels”. I know they exist....my former neighbor had them & he tended them daily, water, and moving temporary fences. Guarded by Great Pyrenees dogs.
Goats can work any kind of terrain & are more than happy to eat their way into a fire break for homeowners.

LeBron NO BRAINS James was lamenting on video that “he had to evacuate in the middle of the night & he just kept driving around & he couldn’t find anyplace that would take them in”.
He made it sound as tho it was discrimination.
With that many people being evacuated in the middle of the night——how far would he have to THINK about going to find open rooms at a hotel or motel???
NO BRAINS...
And he has 3 or 4 other houses round the world.
NOT sorry for him in any way at all. Many people who own their homes DO NOT have adequate insurance. The fighting over insurance will be entertaining.

Well said. I lived thru a fire up here a bit ago and after what I saw/experienced I wish that on no one. Pure terror wondering if you are gonna get out in time.
Kathy Griffin and LaBron James? I’d love to see their house burned down...
