Now who defines the “public sinner”? If the person is located at a local Parish, than I agree it is up to the local parish. But in the case of an international personality such as Joe Biden I believe the onus in the Catholic Church itself.
So please show me where the Catholic Church as prohibited Joe for communion?
As I stated earlier, maybe a parish priest forcing the issue onto the church leadership is required.
Maybe Joe went to confession just before and was purified (look at first sentence).

Well and truly said and every word of it! That evil criminal could stumble into any one of 99% of the Catholic churches in this country and receive Holy Communion. He and his ilk do so whenever they please, no questions asked!

I do not believe a public announcement is part of atonement. And I further believe that someone that knowingly takes communion with a mortal sin on their soul is damned and does not care are righting their wrongs. Judgement is up to God.

But this priest has just put himself in the cross hairs of every militant abortion advocate in the country.
This priest needs the prayers of every Christian that reads or hears about his heroic act.
He was doing his duty as a priest but how many priests have that kind of courage that they would put themselves at such risk.
There are nutcases out there that would kill him on the alter given the chance.
Remember the guy that attacked the Family Research Council office who planned to kill everyone there and put Chick-fil-a sandwiches in their mouths. The Far Left has come to the point of killing those who oppose them.

That is why we asked for his PROTECTION in our prayers. We now TRUST God to take care of him...and we will continue to do exactly as the Sacred Scriptures tell us...to TRUST in our Triune God....and seek to do the will of the Father at all times.
There truly are many others who are practicing holy virtue as priests...but, of course, the media avoids bringing attention to them. Lots of good is taking place though you may not be seeing that currently. That it is still somewhat hidden is a part of God’s plan too.

Depends on one’s definition of “judge”. One definition of the verb is to form an opinion. which is of course a universal human activity.
If you are talking about the Catholic Church, you are incorrect. There are several dioceses that will not allow communion for those who openly support abortion. There are also several where the issue is sadly ignored.
There is a split in the Church at present (due to a number of factors that have been growing for many years). Now, the Lord is beginning to clean up the mess....the entire Church will have to undergo a passion similar to HIS. Then...the resurrection. During this time...we pray, seek to follow His will for us...and we all TRUST without reserve.
We pray that it is God’s will that this priest may be protected from those that would do him harm.
But if it is God’s will that this priest may come to harm as part of his greater plan, let God’s will be done.
She hunts for parishes that have dissident priests.

LoL...not quite that bad....although somewhat easier in the larger cities. With prayer groups growing to do spiritual battle against this....it is never boring. :-)

Your prayer reminds us of what Jesus prayed during His agony in the garden...right before His own torture and crucifixion to pay for our sins.
He is our model and we follow Him....because He loves so much and is Goodness itself.
